A high school in Texas has deleted a post congratulating its homecoming king after he was trolled in the comments for his 'feminine' appearance.
Angleton High School in Texas posted crowned Eddy Wilson and posted a picture of the senior online to congratulate him alongside the homecoming queen Mia Moreno.
Wilson - who is the captain of the varsity cheerleading squad - enjoys doing his makeup, dressing up and getting his hair done.
The high school senior identifies as a male but has a 'feminine appearance' which prompted trolls to leave ruthless hate comments on the Texas high school's congratulatory Facebook post.
AHS deleted its post after it received negative attention - but Wilson said it should have kept the post up so people were held accountable for their hateful words.

Angleton High School in Texas crowned Eddy Wilson their homecoming king and congratulated him in a Facebook post that the school later deleted because of hate comments
It meant a lot to Wilson that his peers voted him as homecoming king because he had a tough time in school and faced harassment throughout his life due to his femininity.
Wilson told ABC13: 'I don't do well with labels. I have the confidence to be me because I'm letting go of all the labels.
'As long as you're being you and you feel secure and beautiful in who you are, your body and your skin, that's all that matters.'
Wilson used the boys' locker room at school and experienced bullying from the baseball, soccer and basketball players who he had to share the space with.
He said: 'My cheer locker was vandalized throughout sophomore and junior year. I am a male, so I'm in the boys' locker room with baseball, soccer, and basketball players.
'One time, someone took my cheer uniform, rubbed it in dirt, and hung it up on my locker.
'Honestly, it's bothered me.'
The school deleted the social media post to try and protect their student but instead Wilson feels like his achievement was taken away by the hate he received.

The homecoming king said: 'I would leave the post up - leave the comments open so we can go back and read.
'Don't delete your comment - you said what you said, stand on it.
'I could see why (school officials) thought it was going to solve the problem. But it doesn’t solve anything. It just lets the people who said the nastiest things almost get away with it.
'Why do so many adults that don’t know me, apart from a can of paint, have such a strong, hateful opinion about me?'
An Angleton Independent School District spokesperson said to KTRK: 'AISD chose to take down the social media post announcing the homecoming king and homecoming queen due to some of the comments that were considered not to be within the scope that the post intended.'
After hateful comments began to flood the congratulations social media post - people rushed to stand up for Wilson and left positive comments for him using the hashtag #TeamEddy to show their support.
Wilson said: 'I feel super, super grateful for everyone's support. It's more than I ever expected.'
Wilson moved to Angleton, Texas in his freshman year of high school from The Woodlands. He said: 'Ask anyone in the hallways. I don't cause problems. If you're smiling at me, I'm smiling back. I'm probably smiling at you first. That's just the type of person that I am.'

He said the school should have left the post up so that people who left hateful comments about him could be held accountable but instead he said they got away with it
A Facebook user commented on another one of Angleton High School's posting saying: 'I think it's really sad and disgusting that y'all chose to remove the post. Instead of supporting the student. You allowed the hate and then coddled the haters by removing the post entirely. So glad my child does not go to this school.'
Angleton is a Republican-voting area based on results from recent elections. Compared to cities close to Angleton it has more Republican voters and the area falls under District 25 which is represented by Republican Cody Vasut.
In June 2023, a Texas school district voted that students in a Dallas suburb had to use the restroom or locker-room that 'corresponds to their gender assigned at birth'.
The same rule applied to gender pronouns - meaning that the student's gender at birth determined whether they are referred to as 'he' or 'she' despite personal preferences from the students.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbot said he would support legislation that banned transgender athletes from participating in certain college sports or allowing trans women to compete on women's team and trans men from competing on men's teams.
The bill was approved in the Texas House with a vote of 93-49, three representatives were present but didn't vote.
Democrat Rep. Ana-Maria Ramos said: 'Instead of working to create societies that are more tolerant and accepting, we are putting forward more senseless legislation that targets trans people in particular, and discriminates against communities at large'.
