Jason Kelce has been nominated for not one, but two Emmys for his Amazon Prime documentary, Kelce.
Just weeks after retiring from the NFL, Jason Kelce is already taking his next big steps. On Tuesday, the nominees for the 45th annual Sports Emmy Awards were announced and the former Philadelphia Eagles player could be taking home two of the prestigious awards.
Jason Kelce nominated for two Sports Emmy awards
The star began filming the 2023 Amazon Original documentary to begin documenting what he thought was his final year in the NFL. However, it unraveled into one of the most epic years of his life, from his wife Kylie being pregnant with his third child, to facing brother Travis Kelce and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
The brothers also started their podcast New Heights together, which has continued to go from strength to strength, interviewing A-List celebrities including Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Outstanding Long Documentary and Outstanding Editing are the categories the star’s documentary is nominated for, and he’s up against some big names.
Kelce is up against Netflix’s The Deepest Breath in the Outstanding Long Documentary category, The Saint of Second Chances, Showtime’s Stand, and Vimeo’s Full Circle.
HBO Max’s Hard Knocks recent season focused on the New York Jets and Netflix’s Under Pressure about the US Women’s World Cup Team are some of the contenders he’ll be facing in the editing category.
The awards show will take place on May 21. However, those hoping to see Taylor Swift won’t be in luck as she’ll be in Europe for her Eras Tour.

He may have retired from the NFL, but the 36-year-old isn’t showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Jason and his former teammate shocked the Philadelphia crowd when they made their appearance in the ring, and TMZ Sports reports that the WWE would welcome him back with “open arms”.
It’s not the only place we may be seeing the star. While interviewing Arnold Schwarzenegger for their podcast New Heights, he had a hunch Jason and Travis’ visit to Hollywood wasn’t a coincidence…
